What we Believe

 What we believe

This church exists by the grace of God and for the glory of God, which shall be the ultimate purpose in all its activities. This church glorifies God by loving Him and obeying His commands through:

  •  Worshipping Christ;
  •  Equipping the saints through biblical preaching, instruction, and study;
  • Proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching, personal evangelism, and any other means consistent with the teachings of the Scriptures;
  • Encouraging, supporting, and participating in missions work. This includes local, domestic, and/or international mission focuses.
  • Administering the ordinances of baptism and communion;
  • Being a gathering point and safe harbor for the community;
  •  Encouraging biblical fellowship among believers; and
  •  Serving other individuals, families, and churches by providing for physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • THE SCRIPTURES:

    We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter; that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions shall be tried. II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Deuteronomy 12:32; Proverbs 30:6; and Revelation 22:19.

  • THE GODHEAD:

    We believe in One Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; eternal in beings, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having precisely the same attributes and perfections. Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14.

  • MAN’S CREATION AND FALL

    We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, under the law of his maker; but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state; in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but choice; being by nature utterly void of that holiness and under the judicial sentence of death. Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-12.

  • THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST

        We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God; that he became Man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Luke 1:26-32; Philippians 2:5-8. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through the shedding of His blood and His death on the cross as sacrifice that our redemption is made sure to us by his resurrection from the dead in the identical, though glorified, body in which He was crucified. John 1:1-2, 14; Romans 3:24-25; I Peter 1:3-5.

     We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in Heaven, exalted at the right hand of God, as High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of the Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. Hebrews 9:24; Hebrews 10:12; Hebrews 7:25; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1-2. We believe in the  imminent rapture, that Jesus Christ is going to return in the clouds for His church before the 7 year Tribulation; God's wrath on the earth I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Corinthians 15:51-58: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-10; and that He will return with His saints and all His holy angels to the earth at the end of the 7 year Tribulation, and set up His kingdom on earth, ruling and reigning forever and ever. Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-21.

  • THE HOLY SPIRIT

    We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead, indwells in the present age, all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ; baptizes them into the Body of Christ; seals them unto the day of redemption; and we believe that every believer is commanded of God to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18-21. We further believe that God has distributed a variety of gifts through the Holy Spirit to every believer for the edification of the church and for serving one another. Colossians 1:12-14; Ephesians 4:7-16; I Peter 4:10-11.

  • SALVATION

    We believe that Salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by His grace, received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that faith is manifested in works pleasing to God. Ephesians 2:8-10; I Corinthians 1:4-9; Ephesians 1:13-14.

  • THE CHURCH

    We believe that a visible church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His word. Revelation. 19: 7-8; Colossians. 1:24

    We believe that it is Gods purpose that believers meet together in local organized church for mutual fellowship and instruction in the Word of God; for the preaching of the Gospel; and for the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Acts 2:42-47; I Corinthians. 11:23-26

  • JUSTIFICATION

    We believe that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to those whom believe in Him is Justification; that Justification includes the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness; that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood; by virtue of which faith His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God; that it brings us into a state of most blessed peace and favor with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and eternity. Romans. 4:25, 5:16-18

  • SANCTIFICATION

    We believe that Sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of his holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means, especially the word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness and prayer. I Thessalonians 4:3, II Thessalonians 2:3

  • BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER

    We believe that Christian Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer. Into the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life; and to the Lord’s Supper, in which believers by the sacred use of bread and wine, are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ; preceded always by solemn self-examination. The Lord’s Supper shall be observed at least four times a year in conjunction with occasions as agreed upon by the Pastor and the Church Board. Acts 8:36-38; Romans 6:4-5; I Corinthians 11:23-26

  • THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

    We believe that the Christian is called with a holy calling to a life of separation from the world of sinfulness; to walk not after the flesh, but to live in the power of the indwelling spirit of God, in order that we might glorify God and make Christ known to the whole world. Romans 8:4; II Timothy. 1:9; Galatians 5:16; I Corinthians 6:20; Matthew 5:16; Matthew 28:18-20; John 17:18; II Corinthians 5:17-20

  • OF THE WORLD TO COME

    We believe in the Millennial Kingdom where we rule and reign with Jesus Christ for 1,000 years on the earth when we return with Him after the 7 year Tribulation. Revelation 20:6; We believe that the lost will be raised from the grave to final retribution at the Great white throne judgment; We believe that the condition and the retribution of the lost in the Lake of Fire shall be conscious and everlasting and that Hell is a place of eternal death and separation from God and all who do not believe in God are damned. Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:11-15; Luke 16:19-31.We believe that Heaven is a place of eternal life with Christ reserved for all who have received Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. John 3:13-36; John 14:1-3; We believe that the heavens and earth will burned up wih fire 2 Peter 3:10-12; and that there will be a new heavens and a new earth where we will be with the Lord for eternity. Revelation 21
